Just need to double check this build for a friend is ok, its in Australia and Its being ordered from Umart.

He wants to spend under $2000 and the cheaper the better. Its main use is gaming and he doesn't plan on overclocking.

its good, if you want lower wattage get 970 if dont get 390

Get a 390 instead of that

Well you should get a 390 over a 970, and make sure to get an IPS display for the monitor

Otherwise maybe a less expensive case overall and throw the money into either a last gen i7/xeon or an unlocked i5 with that motherboard

I would actually say get more than 8GB's of RAM...
