[Help] Chair Height Mod?

I would like to raise the height of my chair (Rolling chair) by 1-3 inches, though I do not know how to do this safely and would like to see if any of you know.

step 2: put chair on a 1-3 inch high wooden box

step 3: ????

step 4: profit

Serious suggestion, just sit on a couple of cushions.

you can easily do it with some pipe, but you'll lose the height adjust, and, more importantly, the cushion of air the pneumatic tube gives you

would it hurt to put something between the bottom of the chair and the mount for the base?

Hmm. Maybe you can find some larger/taller wheels that you could attach somehow.

If the chair can be taken apart, probably not. That said you'll proably have to make it out of something quite strong because there are some strong bending forces in that spot.
