Overclocking my laptop CPU i5-3317u?

Overclocking a laptop is a bad idea, it usually can't handle the heat. They also often have a locked down BIOS.

Overclocking a laptop is a bad idea, it usually can't handle the heat. They also often have a locked down BIOS.

what if I overclock it just 1ghz faster?

But the stress test made it go to a good 2 ghz with decent temperature

Maybe 0.1ghz. 1ghz would not work unless you have a legendary chip.

Seriously no, if you really need to use a cooler however they add more noise. There is really no point
