I thought there was just an audio jack on the controller.

How do I use my headphones with the PS4? What type of audio setup do I need?

Do you also want an mic input? Or will you be using an separate usb microphone?

Any Optical DAC will do.

Yeah but it sounds terrible that way.

Oh ok, I don't have a PS4 so I'm not really sure, but could you potentially just get a 3.5 mm extension cable (I'm assuming there is a headphone jack somewhere on the PS4) and connect it to your headphones? How far do you sit from the TV/monitor and PS4?

there isnt a aux port on the ps4, you could probably get an amp to see if that would work, cause some headphones come with amps, but idk if a legit one would even be compatible .

Just about any USB DAC will work, or any optical SPDIF DAC.
