Posted October 23, 2015 So i made my self a custom backplate for my 390 since i got rid of my evga 970 ftw. Still needs a custom decal that a mate is doing for me to be put on So basically how i did this was i had leftover metal from when i cut my window so i took it down to an engineering shop they cut it to size for me and even scored the edges nicely all for free! Then i filed it down so it wasnt sharp and got some 3m double sided tape but didnt peel off the outer sticky stuff all the way and have it attached onto my gpu now.Has not affected temps in anyway. What do you guys think? Posted October 23, 2015 How much to send one to me? Mine needs a backplate. I would try cutting some strips of foil tape and putting them on the back. The tape looks like brusned aluminum, because it essentially is... Donate your unused computer resources for cancer and other research. Posted October 23, 2015 You can also buy the original backplates from Sapphire. I got one for my R9 390 and it looks awesome. The positive side effect is, that my GPU is 3°C cooler now.
