I'm folding for a few months now. But I have no clue what that means:

"doing 138k PPD on Full"

Can you explain that to a folding scrub like me?  ^_^

Edit: Oh wait... PPD = points per day?  <_<

Yes.

^^ what he said.  :D

This new build is much better than what I was doing before. The other system was doing about 10k ppd.

You know, those i3-4160 CPUs are nothing to sneeze at.

I've built 2 HTPCs using those with the onboard graphics (no dedicated GPU).  The people I built those HTPCs for find them great for that and also doing some "normal" computer stuff.

I also built a mid-tower ATX for a family who needed a PC for schooling.  The husband and wife were in school and they had 2 kids and could not afford a PC.  I built the PC out of my own money and used an i3-4160 and they love the computer.

There are probably some applications that people do where an i3 is probably not optimal......video rendering maybe or very high end gaming?  Someone chime in on what an i3 is not the best at.

Intel i7-4790K Processor, 32 GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3-1600 RAM, ASUS Z-87 Pro Motherboard, Corsair RM 750 PSU, 250 GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, 2 x 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDDs, ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX GPU, Corsair Carbide 500R Case, AFT Pro-77U Card Reader, Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitor – U2415, Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, Windows 9 (Windows 10 with StartIsBack++)

Yup I know, its a power house dual core but I will need a quad core down the road. I plan on re-using the chip on an mini-itx build later on.
