It's today, the day they went to in the movie that was the future back then

Unfortunately we've failed them

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

what is back to the future day? every one i know has been talking about it today

In Back to The Future 2, Marty, Doc, and knocked out girlfriend go to the future, which in the 80's the future was 2015. Well, its 2015 now, and the day they go to the future is well, today(err, almost tomorrow for my timezone).

I haven't seen any actual hoverboards or flying cars yet, so if you spot one, please let me know :)

I guess its just a way to say "whoa look at how cool this is, you got to see the future" but the reality is that most people haven't seen Back to The Future nor care. Its a great movie though(all three of them), I recommend everybody watch it.

Yes, it only works at that location really

Look the problem with most of the tech that doesn't exist from back to the future is logistics, can we make a full functional hoverboard, yes, good luck powering it though, can we make flying cars, yes, but you need to be a pilot to operate them so what's the point. The internet goes beyond BTTF2's predictions in communications though, by leaps and bounds so yay.

Now we just have to travel back in time (before 2015), to invent hoverboards. So that when they travel to the future, hoverboards are real.

Yeah that's the truth with pretty much every sci-fi ever; some things are massively over estimated, and some are massively under estimated
