Need a tiny machine that runs linux for a project I want to build, but I don't need much, just an sd card slot, 2 usb ports and video out.  I was thinking of the raspberry pi, but is there anything less expensive?

I can help with programming and hardware.

It's not available right now, but by the end of the year you'll be able to buy the CHIP, a microcomputer comparable to the original raspberry pi for only 9$. The I/O is a little more than $9 though, but it should still be under half the price of a raspberry pi.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Microsoft Apple Valve Google Facebook Oculus HTC AMD Intel Nvidia

I'm using this data to judge this site's biases so people can post in a more objective way.
