DIY Project HT set

I'm not planning to redo my setup, but this seems like a simple and feasible build for DIYers:

 

Source and Volume Control: Motherboard Built-in Audio or Sound Card

 

Amplifier Boards:

Enclosure: Any custom enclosure/case (they're even small enough to hide inside some PC towers)

 

Speakers and Sub: 6 DIY passive speakers and 1 DIY passive subwoofer

That pretty neat! I havent seen those amps before. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WSN9S4Q I have used these for portable speakers, although the wattage is not nearly as impressive, the size is.

It's easy to find a 12V power source too. You can actually power that with the PC's 12V rail. :)

I was thinking about designing a speaker amp using those tiny PAM8610 amps that lives inside the PC case, and the speakers connect to that.

That's actually how a lot of AIO desktops work. The built-in speakers are powered by an internal amp.
