I'm planning on buying a new computer in the near future. The budget is around 900-1200€. I'm from Slovenia so I'll probably buy the parts from my country or Austria. This is what I've come up with for a gaming PC and I'd like to hear some opinions from you guys (just for the inner parts I don't need any new peripherals).

CPU: Intel i5 3570K

GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7970 Twin Frozr or MSI GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr

MB: MSI Z77A - G45 Gaming

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz cl9 KIT

PSU: OCZ ZT Series 750W (would like to know if I could get away with the 650W PSU)

Case: Cooler Master HAF XM Window

I already have a new disk so I'm not counting it in the budget.

this is quite good but most people i know tend to fillup a 1tb drive (they dont file manage aswell as i do) and SSDS tend to drop off in performance once you go down to 128gb.

and once overclcoked a 7970 is about 5% faster but you pay 20% more....same with the fx8350 vs fx8320 overclock and theyre about the same, and a id say a full atx would be better than the midi... oh and mines all from 1 place so free delivery :D

You won't notice a difference between a 120GB SSD or a 240GB the FX8350 and 8320 are the same so they are the same, I only chose that because of the binning, usually the 8350 can be overclocked higher and you can get a 2TB drive for 20$ more if you need more space.

agree, it may not be noticable but its still there and 128gb of ssd should e enough for most but often isnt for hardcore gamers (hence i dont even have an SSD lol) and 8320s are also binned down to fill the market the same way old athlons and phenoms we're, theres as many 8320's at 4.8 as there are 8350's and as far as i can tell the extra power draw is a bit rubbist when clocked that high.

games dont care how fast your cpu is so long as its fast enough, all you might do is remove a bottleneck (if its there) which i cant see an fx8 having in anything less than skyrim

Stop being a cry baby :P

OP didn't give you enough info about what else he may need.

This is why it's important to ask the right questions first.

As for the OP, a 600-650w is enough for the 7970. The build could be cheaper though. Where are you shopping?
