at what resolution?

If you're talking about 1080p, then I think either will do the job of running the game at ultra with at least 60 fps. So the decision really is coming down to 1) cost and 2) PSU capacity

i5 4670k | Noctua NH0-U12S | Asus Z97M Plus | Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb | Palit GTX 980 Ti Super Jetstream 6G | Samsung 850 EVO 250gb

WD Caviar Blue 1tb | Seasonic M12II 850W | Fractal Design Define R5 | Dell U3014 1600p 30" 60Hz

Corsair K65 | Razer Orochi | Bose QuietComfort 15 | Creative SBS A350 2.1

Unless something has changed, Ark does not support Crossfire or SLI, so go with the 390.

I wouldn't hold out for high or max settings though at 1440p. I have a 780 and have it on medium settings and had to turn down to 1080p to keep it from dropping below 30 fps.

definitely the 390. Especially because of the vram.

Always get the fastest single card you can afford. And crossfire isn't supported in some games.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case
