hi bros, im looking for a new strategy game, something like halo wars was, with awesome graphics, 
i really like the total war medieval 2, however after trying shogun 2 i couldnt get into it, im also a fan of the old command and conquer series.
is there anything new with awesome graphics out as iv not looked at thies types of games in over 3 years now

I can make a list of some of my favorite strategy games, since i play a LOT of strategy games

They are not in order though

 

 

Not a lot of them have good graphics though, but all of them are really fun

 

cossacks back to war is amazing, and you get it for dirt cheap on gog, and steam

C&C generals zero hour

Seven kingdoms 2 HD

Age of empires (duh)

The guild 2: renaissance

dwarf fortress (100% free) or gnomoria if you want better graphics, but sacrifice content

stronghold crusader HD, and earlier titles

Superpower 2

Tropico 3 - 5

Civ V (duh)

(Fleet command(pretty hard to get into though))

Grey Goo just had a free weekend on Steam. I tried it for a few hours and I liked what I played. I's kind of like C&C games. It's not crazy over the top story. But they have put a lot of work into the story and cinematics.

 

The few games I played seemed pretty OK. All the races have somewhat different play styles. Third race more then others.

 

I recommend checking it out. Only reason I didn't get is because I don't have the time investment for the game. And I didn't want yet another game sitting in my library.

 

 

 

Starcraft 2 also has a lot of free stuff. All the against AI and custom games are free to play. Only for the ranked multiplayer and for the story you have to buy the game(and the expansions depending on what you want to play). 

 

Just on the basis of that it's at least worth checking out.

 

 

 

I've also wanted to check out Act of Aggression. But again haven't had enough time and I'm not really willing to just buy 50€ game out of the blue. I need to look at streams and videos to see if it's something that I would like.
