It's high, what's your cooler and clock speed, also load temp

Ok, with the stock cooler at idle you probably should be under 40 for a high given your ambient but I'm not entirely sure what a good idle is as I don't have that cpu

It's fine, though seems a bit high. Case, fans and location?

Also load is really all that matters, what are your temps then?

Stock fans for all both rads and case

I did cross for my thermal paste.. with an extra tiny pea size in middle cos i accidently squeeze a little too much :3

Please tell me it affects only 1 2 degrees..

air bubbles in the block may cause the temp to be a tad higher.

so you need to make sure the bubble is away the pump and in the radiator

Cooler top as exhaust? Ambient temps stop mattering as much when that's the case, it's always warmer inside the case then out. That will affect temperatures. Though it's better to have a toastier CPU than GPU IMO.

Too much thermal paste is a possible issue too, a single pea in the middle is all thats needed.

That last sentence was meant to be read as keep it how you have it (If you have it in the top that is, somewhat unclear.).

It's a good case.

Will plan to get dust filters for this..

Or i get dust filter from back and exhaust top is fine too

You have the fans oriented right on the rad right? Arrows on the fans oriented to either be pushing through the rad and exiting into the room or pulling air through the rad and dispersing into the room. I run mine in a push config, personal preference, either will work.

For a quiet low load I use 1100-1200rpm fan profile, make sure your fans are at least doing that. Under heavier load you might want to run more like 2000-2300, or even higher if running heavy benchmarks or stress test.

For some reference. I have an i7 5820k OCed at 4.2Ghz @ 1.2v that runs idle around 32 degrees. Having it watercooled with a 360 rad at the top of my case with the fans in a pull setup.

I don't think 45 degrees is normal at stock speed on watercooling. I would try: checking your waterloop for air trapped in the rad or pump, is there enough waterflow (pump issues), refitting your pump including reapplying thermal paste.

Also how long do have your Kelvin S36?

21-24 degrees. Also I should mention that I have a custom watercooling setup. I have an EK-CoolStream PE 360 rad which is 10mm thicker than yours but I don't think that would make a huge difference. I'm still convinced you should be able to get your CPU below 40 degrees on idle.

10-15C over ambient isn't out of the range of reason if the fans are spinning slowly.

The value itself isn't that big of a deal at idle. What do your load temps look like?

I probably sit at 15-20C above ambient while idling. I have 17C room temp with idle temps between 30-38C. Now that is with fans spinning as low as they can go.

But if your room temp is 27-30C then 45C doesn't sound too terrible.

Btw you should be exhausting air from your case with that rad.

"Fan below pulling", maybe I am understanding your quote wrong but if you have rad mounted on top with fans on bottom you want the fans blowing through the radiator and expelling the hot air into the room.
