Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying my first gaming pc as soon as I have a good monitor to go with it.

I want to play a few FPS games like Black Ops III, CS;GO (& Star Wars Battlefront). I also want to play games like The Witcher etc. (sandbox games with beautifull colors ). Now I'm having doubts between whether I should go with a IPS or a TN panel.

What I want the monitor to have:

a 24 inch screen

a trusty brand (cuz I want to use it for a longer time),

I'd prefer 144 Ghz refresh rate

I'm willing to spend about €180

What would you recommend me IPS or TN? And If you know a good recommendation, please tell me! :D

A used 144hz monitor MIGHT sell for 180 euros. Obviously your not gonna get an ips panel for that money with 144hz

It's 144 hz not ghz lol. You might be able to find a 144 in your budget but it'll likely be lower quality in other aspects. I think you'd be better off with a nice ips 60 hz

Okay you got a good recommendation?

Some Tn panels will have decent colour accuracy over really crappy Ips panels. Benq has a monitor that looked nice to look at even though it was Tn. So, you should really go in store and actually try looking at different monitors, cause after all, it's your eyes that are gonna be looking at the screen.

Unfortunately, I don't know the European market well enough to give a recommendation I can stand behind. For myself, I bought an hp 27" ips for $200 CAD. Many people would not consider hp a reliable brand but it's got really nice colors and has lasted me for at least a couple years so far and hasn't dimmed
