NF-F12/NF-A14s are the way to go. Have 5 in my server rig and can barely hear them, even under full load.

Is that with or without low noise adapters?

Without- just replaces the OEMs that came with the case.

Whats you storage config?

Nothing special at the moment- 2x 2tb WD Red (no RAID), 120gb SSD (boot). I use it for Plex and Folding (and occasional as a LAN machine), so doesn't need to be anything crazy...though having said that, I do plan to throw a couple more 4tb WD Reds in there at some point, so will probably reconfigure then.

I was on a tight schedule when I built it, so didn't have the time to tinker, and haven't managed to get round to it yet :( It's in the works for when I can get enough surplus cash together to upgrade the storage. OS is Win10 for the same reason (had a spare install lying around), but also because it is my LAN rig. Will swap over to FreeNAS when LAN is no longer a consideration.

be quiet! Silent Wings 2 or Noctua NF-F12/NF-A14s

NF-F12's aren't quiet nor as suitable as NF-S12A's as case fans.

You could go with Noctua's NF-A12 and A14 (S12 for airflow) or some of be quiet!'s silent wings series fans.

NF-A12's aren't released yet.

Oh I didn't notice that, S12 and F14 it is then :P

Not sure whether you're getting names wrong or making typos at this point--F14's don't exist either unless you're not referring to Noctua anymore.

Sorry, I'm being an imbecile. NF-S12s is what I meant. Sorry about that.

I would not look at Noctua fans for being Silent, I did so much research into what case fans and radiator fans to buy for my new build, I found out that Noctua are actually quite loud (they do give good performance though) so if you want quiet fans, go BeQuiet SW2, they will be the best for quiet fans.

Where'd you get the idea that Noctua's are loud? They can be very, very quiet and they're all I use in my system.

It depends on what RPM, I was not clear what I was talking about, sorry

I mean they are loud at 1000RPM compared to the BeQuiet SW2 fans. If they want quiet then the BeQuiet fans are better, Noctua are still good though for performance.

Rpm is completely arbitrary and there's no reason to compare fans with it. What matters is performance/noise.

Noctuas can perform well while being very quiet at low rpms.
