ADSL problems...

Hi everyone, I need help with finding a solution for my home network. It's based on ADSL connection and runs at 40mbps download and about 4 upload. when im connected via ethernet cable or just sitting next to the router and using wifi, I get the speed i should, but the problem starts with my pc. it is a floor above the router and about 25 meters distant (on foot, aerial distance is about 6 meters). I bought the TP-LINK WA830RE range extender but i only get speeds of about 5 mbps that aren't enough at all. I don't want to rush and get PLC connectors so i want to consult first. I also need a solution for my brother's room, that is also complaining about the wifi (all he does is play a PS4 or surf the web on his phone).If more information is needed please ask, beacause this situation is intolerable.

Powerline is probably your best bet.

Mind that I have a three-phase power system in my house so a power-line adapter should cost more than a regular one.

Get a powerline adapter or a better range extender. If the signal has trouble passing through your walls then there's not much you can do about it.

 

Also how do you have 40/4 ADSL? That's impossible.

I'll screenshot in a few hours as proof. It's not exactly 4 mbps, it's 3576 kbps upload and download is about 42000 kbps I think.

I would say get "Wifi analyzer" from the app store and see what's going on. Should be free.

You may just need to change your band.

Tried that. No change in WiFi speed/quality.
