I want to make a review of the xiaomi mipad and post it on youtube... The problem is that my editing skills are close to nil and that i cannot shoot B-roll properly... can i make a one cut review??? like this one:

I hate reviews like that, but its not hard, set up a camera, and start talking, not sure why it would be hard to do a review in one take? you could even have a script set up on a tablet or laptop that you read off, and you just hold the device in front the camera

heck ive managed to learn to edit and colour grade in just a few weeks for the reviews I did on YouTube, all self taught, and I think my stuff looks decent - up until my first review I had never edited a video before and had never used adobe premier, and never even really shot video on a camera

@ShadowCaptain seems a man to ask for advice.

already here ;P

Yeah, why couldn't you?  Use windows Movie Maker, you just put the little bar somewhere, right click it, click split, then delete the film you don't want.  That's how I make multi-scene I guess you could call them movies.

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

Are we looking at the same video? Because all I can see is a camera on a tripod focused on what he's doing.

The only way that this was a b-roll is that he didn't focus on his face while talking, that or he edited it by video taping him of using the phone and added a separate audio of him talking.

The zoom in/out effect could either be done while filming or he simply just changed the scale to like 110% then after a second, turned it back to 100%. (This could be usually determined if the zoom in/out effect has an auto-focus which would pretty much say it was done while filming although it could technically be done on editing by distorting the vision and applying a zoom/in/out sound effect, I see no reason for anyone to do it rather than zoom in/out while filming.)
