My MSI 970 have bad extremly low FPS

So quite a while back i got my new computer (MSI 970 , 4690k , MSI Z87-G45 , Kingston 4GB x2 RAM...) And just now i realised that i arent getting the fps that i shuold be getting... I mostly play CSGO and when i play 1080p and everything maxed out i rearly get over 200fps and when i look at Youtube and othen sites peapole are getting easely over 250fps almost 350+ sometimes and foe it mr max goeas to like 215fps... any idea of what the problem can be? I have heard that some peaple are having a simular issue and i what i have searched i havent found a answer. Fell free to post ideas or potential thigs that can solve it.... And btw sorry for bad english....

1. Update drivers

2. Run CS at the lowest settings, cs is about teamwork/winning, not about looks.

3. Check temps

4. Enough RAM?

also, fps is just a number....

How is that extremely low fps? I know due to a recent CS:GO update, many people are getting lower fps. Only using one game also isn't very good judge of performance.

As long as you have more than your monitor's refresh rate, you are fine, unless you have a 288 Hz monitor, which I doubt.

Computer spec's are in my sig.

Get around 250-600 fps dependent on the map and this is with the following settings;-

Everything low except shaders for dem skins and I play at 1080p. I can get a more consistent 300-400 with 4:3 but even then the source engine isn't very optimized as I tend to get more FPS looking at smokes due to it making my GPU use more % :/

While playing at a higher fps ensures that smoke grenades don't make you go below 144hz, having 200fps is more than good enough.

As you cannot actually perceive more than 60fps from a 60hz monitor.

Derp did you turn on multicore usage?

I see an i5, csgo benefits from multicore and high cpu speeds.

Reinstall the game - run lower settings - what CPU is it? The CPU is the limiting factor in CS:GO - I get 300 fps, regardless of settings - GPU usage is 80% for me. CPU is maxed
