Hello guys, today, its my Birthday (yay!) and my dad gives me a 200€ card for buying whatever i want and i was looking for things to upgrade my rig and i realize that i wanted one of those 2 things, a Corsair h100i or one SSD, but i dont know what will improve more my performance i think that, with my i5 4670k the liquid cooling system will do better just because i will be able to overclock my cpu more than the 3.6ghz that its currently running and i dont know if i should go for the liquid cooling or the SSD

(the rig:

  • CPU i5 4670K @ 3.6 Ghz
  • MOBO Asrock z87 Pro4
  • RAM Kingston HyperX 1x8GB 1333Mhz DDR3
  • HD Caviar Green 2Tb
  • GPU Nvidia GTX 660 OC 2gb
  • Case Zalman Z11

)

TLDR;Liquid coling or one SSD, wich one will improve more my performance?

CPU i5 4670K @ 4.2Ghz; MOBO Asrock z87 Pro4 RAM Kingston HyperX 2x8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 SSD OCZ 256GB HD Caviar Green 2Tb GPU Nvidia GTX 660 OC  Case Zalman Z11

I vote for SSD.

@iBuprofeno. Depending on how much you wanted to spend on liquid cooling or an SSD, what about a new video card if your power supply can handle it?

Out of the 2, SSD.

If anything else, possibly the GPU.

Unless you're pushing your cpu to 100% usage frequently or your temps are high on average then go with the ssd as boot times are amazing, I was originally a skeptic to ssds now I recommend them frequently.

I feel like knowing the current cooling situation would be helpful...maybe?

in gaming i usually gets like 80%-90% and it runs as hot as like 60º but what i want its push those 3.6ghz to something more, like 4.2 or 4.4ghz that i cannot achieve right now, the pc crash

3.6ghz is .2ghz above stock speeds. I doubt you need an AIO for the temps you're pushing. If you're going from just an HDD, a hard drive will be a SIGNIFICANT upgrade to your rig. You'll definitely feel the effects of that over a slightly cooler CPU.

I'm I missing something?

Its 115-120€ for the H100i, 120GB SSD (more then enough for OS and a few games) goes for around 50-60€, meaning that you even got money left for shipping.

At least based on amazon.de

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.
