Yep, reinstall windows, all I got was just blue screens with old windows

You should be fine just putting it in and going from there. Did you also get a new motherboard?

Hi, I bought a new processor for my pc and I don't kow if I have to uninstall everything and start from the begining or I just have to put my new processor and eveything will work.

What's your MOBO and what's the processor? Are you sure they're compatible?

are you going from amd to intel? or intel to intel or amd to amd

as long as the cpu is compatible with the socket you should be fine, about the only thing you may need to do is flash your bios

I'm changing my motherboard also, I had a pentium and now I have an i5 with a socket lga 1155
