I play CSGO on 1680x1050 but im thinking about lowering my res to 1440x900 to raise fps but the resolution isnt in the settings after i changed my GPU from a 260x to a 380. GPU simply not supporting that resolution at all or is there a way to use the resolution? The available resolutions on 16:10 are 720x480, 800x480,1280x768,1680x1050

i mean, what FPS do you get right now? if you get over 60 then dont bother. unless you have a 1680x1050 144hz monitor (which i doubt) it wouldnt make a difference. while resolution will make a difference

It does actually affect your aim, not by a huge margin but im only trying it out anyways. I always get over 100 fps on all maps (varies alot on different maps).

you should play at a 16:9 resolution as that gives you the best fov (examples being 720p and 1080p)

The 16:9 resolutions dont scale very well on my monitor apart from 1600x900 although that res makes everything look really small for some reason.

Frame latency - the monitor renders the most recent frame output by the GPU. If the GPU outputs more frames, the frame rendered by the monitor will be more recent and up to date, making it feel as if it's smoother.

Can't really explain it well...
