Hey guys, i have been thinking about building a csgo computer, and i'm curious what will give me the most fps, for the lowest price (i've heard that all source games are cpu-heavy)  :)

Could you guys advice me some components?

minimum requirement: 250fps stable

price: lowest possible

monitor: 144hz

... Thanks for the help   ;)

i5 + r9 380/960

would be pretty good combo, everything over is just cream on top.

if go with the r9 380, for csgo it would be better

The Source engine isn't really biased on what GPU you get. Hell, you can get an R9 285 and play at 2160p60 with CSGO and really any of Valve's Source engine games.

Btw 250fps 100% stable is not possible, the current patch made something so me and many of my friends are having fps drops from ~250 down to 0 when there is a lot of smoke.

I say this build is not powerful enough. This build would be useless next year July or so. You should instead building a low end skylake build for under 1000 including peripherals and monitor. Why? Cuz Valve is updating it's engine to a new one that will be around as intensive as last year's AAA titles like far cry 3. This means that a 750ti would not go above 50 frames or so. Get something like a 970. That will at least achieve 140 frames or so.

Don't get G.skill ram. Those things die very easily. After 8 months they start to fail you. Especially the rip jaws. Get good quality ram that will last u a few years.

This is the build I put together:

Mobo: Msi z170a krait gaming

Cpu:Intel i5 6600

Gpu : nvidia gtx 970

RAM : 8gb 2133hz crucial ballistic

Psu: corsair cx500

Case :NZXT H440 black and white

Storage : 120gb Samsung evo 850 and a 1 tb WD black

Monitor : Asus VG248QE

This beast is more worth it. It may be more expensive, but at least it will see u through the source engine update. It will be able to handle the Source engine 4 version of CSGO with 150 frames at least, but no promises as this depends on how intensive the new cs go will be.

U crazy? CX series PSU will blow your system up. Except, you wanna fry your PC. Get a XFX XTR or Antec HCG or EVGA GS
