Okay so I have collected 2 old pc's both with lga 775 sockets but only one has a cpu (pentium 4

does the board have aux power for cpu, the atx 12v?

i have one 775 board but i don't remember it having

but such loops maybe due to disconnected aux power

Now it keeps on and the cpu is getting hotter but still no post

Some LGA-775 chips don't work on other LGA-775 boards, they're super picky about compatibility. Test it with the old board to find out.

I'm not sure , but doesn the lga p4 only support ddr1 ?

Some ddr1 boards exist but they are quite hard to come upon

Ive got the old board working but the io doesnt line up

Ill try to mod the other case because standoffs are the same.

If you put something like a Core 2 Duo/Quad into a mb that's designed for P4s it isn't going to work... 775 compatibility is a PITA
