Updating my computer

Hi guys, I would like you to recommend me parts to upgrade my build, I will be playing on 4k and I really need some serious horsepower for under 2000$ I already got a decent case, psu and storage. I also think I could upgrade my cpu for 3D modeling and rendering, I use Cinema 4D and Autodesk Maya. For gaming I am looking for the best of the best for 4K since it's pretty demanding, no preferences for Nvidia or Amd.

A GTX 970 4GB edition can play at 4K but with many options turned down.

A GTX 980 can play at 4K but with some options turned down.

A R9 390x can play 4K but with some options turned down. I don't know AMD well enough to suggest other cards. sorry

some Editing Program has Cuda Acceleration CMIIW, get 970 or 980

Almost, but the 390x has more VRAM and if you put 2 in crossfire it will be able to play 4K pretty easily.

Tell me about it . still using a core 2 quad from 2010 and ddr2 RAM.
