you're gonna be spending quite a bunch of money here.

i'm gonna suggest looking towards the high end MSI or ASUS gaming series, or a custom laptop. (those last ones are usually rather bulky tho...)

surprisingly the macbook pro fits your bill

Lolnope. The 970m walks all over the GPU apple puts in the top of the line MBP and then do that two or three times again for the lols. Even my outdated mid range 860m should outperform it.

nevermind the macbook pro has a m370x which goes head to head with the 970m

No. Besides, I'd assume the OP wants it for gaming (or am I wrong?), so not only is the MBP left in the dust, the library also is behind.

Looking for a good laptop, one that's reasonable priced and can be bought in Australia as well.

Don't really care for the budget as long as it's

1920x1080

i7

970m+

8GB ram +

1tb hdd and 120+ gb ssd

and can't be too thick

I don't know why Metabox does not carry the G-Sync variant.

I could beat a M370X with a GTX 860M in a 13" notebook... don't even BEGIN to compare it to a 970M.

The laptop that @exercutor5 suggested is the way to go. You can get the P670RG instead if you prefer 17" and the P6xxRE with a 970M instead of 980M to save some money if you are budget limited.

There's no real competition in gaming laptops right now, Clevo snatched the crown when Alienware pulled a 180 and they appear to be fighting to hold onto it pretty hard.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Hey OP, if you want to spend a hellish amount of money and want to get something that looks nice (arguably), is slim and is very powerful, why not just go for the Blade 14? It'd be a touch small for me, but I can't say it's not well built. And it's really impressive what Razr shoved in their hardwarewise.

Also, a little bird told me that the speakers are fantastic, so if you give a toss about sound... most laptop speakers are horrible, so that may be a point of consideration.

It isn't very powerful.

It isn't well built internally. The outside has a nice look and feel, but the cooling and subsystem cooling and expansion slots and storage slots and I/O ports aren't impressive... other laptops in its size and weight include more for less money.

It really isn't impressive, since the machine can't handle the hardware in it in most scenarios and is easy to overheat for many users.

The blade laptops aren't worth close to their money. I wish people would stop lauding them. Same with the Aorus machines. If that form factor is desired and there are heating issues then weaker chips should be used, or the form factor should be changed.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
