3 or 4 sli wont use the cards fully id get two seperate machines with one 980ti each and youll get more performance

3: I could try that.. Though it will add more cost... But sure.

Change the psu. Its not for 24/7 use.

It could be if this deal I am working with the power company goes through 3:

Change the board for something like a SOC Champion or X99 Deluxe, your life will suck without OC Socket.

I shall do that~!

I see 3: Darn, I really liked how they looked.. Oh well. So.. I'll split this case up then if it really would make more sense.. But that does blow my budget a bit out of the water x-x;

what country are you in . So i can see the parts you can get on pcpartpicker and find one within your budget

Does Folding and Boinc use the GPU's correctly when going to 3/4way SLI? I was thinking about doing a computer like that, as a "lifetime donation" kinda thing 3: Build plan down below.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pyvbMp

folding at home doesn't require them to be sli'ed.

just plug them in without the sli bridge and it will use each one as a separate gpu... that way you will get 100 percent of every card

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025
