Unique non-existent GPU

Go to solution Solved by STRMfrmXMN,

So I got my PC back today after getting it fixed and the PC game back with a new GPU, different to the old one, it's a Gigabyte GTX 960 and according to scans and stuff it has 3GB VRAM. You're probalby wondering what the problem is, and it is that after extensive googling, there is no 3GB VRAM 960 nevermind a gigabyte 3GB 960. Am I missing something here or do I have a unique GPU?

When you run a UserBenchmark test or a GPU-Z one what GPU does it say you have? Have you updated to the latest drivers? Have you glued a 1GB DDR2 DIMM onto your card and it is now magically functional?

Do more then one program show it having 3GB Vram?

32-bit OS? (I know it affects system memory, not sure about GPU.)

Custom OEM?

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Ran GPU-Z ad it says I have 4GB VRAM, I was using steam big-picture's display option to look at the card when I got it and that displayed it as 3GB, sorry for the confusion. UKtLqZV.png

Can you take a picture of the card so we can see that it's got a legit Gigabyte cooler on it? Also I think Steam's big picture mode may not be 100% accurate.

However, it appears you have a normal 4GB 960.

When I got the PC earlier I took the window off for like a minute to see the card and I am 100% sure it said Windforce, also look at the subvendor tag in the image I linked, it says Gigabyte...

Pretty sure you have a Windforce card and Steam Big Picture mode is wrong. Maybe reinstall Steam?

No point really, I only ever use big-picture for a very brief look at my card if I get a new PC. Even then I usually use GPU-Z instead :/
