This is my first build, and I'm going for a white/black color theme. I'm looking to use this PC for 1080p gaming on an ultra wide, specifically this model:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00VBNQJSM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1443788544&sr=8-1π=SX200_QL40&keywords=34um67&dpPl=1&dpID=41B0yGMXoHL&ref=plSrch.

The games I plan on are racing games, Skyrim(modded), Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and others.

Finally, here is the build:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ztBZYJ

Note: I know this build cannot overclock.

Also the budget is ~750 dollars, going under would be great.

I would get an r9 380 (preferably with 4gb) instead of the gtx 960.

And get a different powersupply, the cx series are not the best.

1) Kill the PSU with fire. Low ambient temperature. Get a XFX or SeaSonic and or EVGA B2 PSU instead.

2) The ssd is like a expensive HDD. Get a Samsung 850 Evo

3) Get an R9 380 SAPHIRE 4G. The 380 is better then the 960, and can utilize the 4GBs of VRAM.

throw in just a little extra and your seagate barracuda could be 3TB instead of 1

and that psu though, give yourself some headroom if your getting an sli capable mobo.

Edit:

$100au could get you a boot ssd as well.

Interesting.

I love how nobody on the desktop side cares about power consumption apart from me.

I would change a few things.

1. i5-4570S (S SKU denotes a lot lower power at slightly lower performance (1-3 fps). )

2. I would get a R9 380 instead of a 960 if you can

3.That SSD is quite unnecessary and instead that money should be spent on better GPU.

4. Pick a power supply which has like 1.5x more power than what PC part picker says. Because power supplies run best at half capacity so go for around 650w (also just for future upgrades since otherwise you'll need a better PSU eventually).

I see you're going for a black and white build, so I tried my best to adhere to that colour scheme while getting you better parts for less money.

I would use 16gb if you plan to play Ubisoft games but apart from that then it's good. And the 2.9Ghz for $20 less is a better deal. 100Mhz makes no difference.

Alright, I have listened to the recommendations, and this is the build I created with all of your suggestions:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NVyKrH

Due to the resounding suggestion of the Sapphire R9 380, I replaced the 960 with that. Also, I replaced the motherboard with a cheaper model so I could afford an extra 1TB of HDD storage. The money saved also went into the PSU, which needed an upgrade as well. The PSU now has way more wattage, as well as a Gold efficiency certification. While I would've liked to have more RAM, I didn't feel like it was as necessary as the other upgrades, and wasn't worth the extra 40 dollars for me. Maybe down the road I will upgrade my RAM.

As a last note, does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless adapter?

Since no budget is stated i assume this would be okay?

You can keep the Krait since you're building a Black & White.

Get an unlocked CPU instead, you can use the stock cooler and not overclock (at the moment) and grab a decent air cooler for mild OC or a AIO for better OC.

Way better PSU for your OC needs.

You can always grab a 50 bucks HDD 1 or 2 weeks later. As a SSD will really improve the overall speed of your pc.
