You know what OS does your car run? Probably (and hopefully) everything is done on assembly directly. How about your TV though? Most of them are Linux variants though. What about your router? Again likely linux or maybe freebsd. 

 

Point is, there's a ton of devices we use everyday that have operating systems yet you never think to ask "What kind of OS runs on this direct tv box I have?" To many, phones are still mostly appliances, not computers or even "tech"

I wonder how some of you guys would answer some "obvious" questions about medicine, automobiles, cooking etc. "That's 10th grade biology!", "Really? You are a man and you do not know how it works"...
There are a lot of people who do not know tech, and most of them don't give a crap about it. Instead of bashing we should be thanking, we have job because of them.
