Will they be a gaming series or a workstation grade cards? Are they worth waiting for? 

 

There will probably be Geforce and Quadro cards based on Pascal eventually.

 

Whether they're worth waiting for depends on what you've got now. If you have a GTX 980, then yeah, it's worth waiting for Pascal or probably even longer. If you have a GTX 260, probably not. ;)

The GPUs will be on both.

Both.

Both most likely but the workstation ones will have double precision FP functionality.

I have a 780 and I'm waiting for pascal to come out so I can get a lower end gpu like the pascal equivelant of a 950 or 960(if it doesn't suck like the 960 with that horrrible 128bit bus) I need a gpu for my second system and I want to see how a gpu of that class will compare to my 780 which was once a flagship

I am a member of the PCMasterRace. I am terribly sad to announce that I own a PeasantStation 3 Super Slim. it's in a drawer away from my glorious PC.

Now that I've gotten less lazy and checked the link in your signature, I see you have a GTX 770. It's up to you how long you feel like it's going to last you, but I have a 770 as well and I will probably be skipping Maxwell.

Yeah, I'm skipping maxwell as well. Although, I might be doing a water cooled build with a 390, so I was just wondering if I should wait.
