I've been looking at the Sennheiser HD 598's to become my daily drivers, now should I get them?  I was gonna buy some Q701's but not only are they more expensive than I'd like, the bass is a little too tight and it seems they are pretty bright sounding.  So is there a headphone that's better than the 598's withing the 598's price bracket?

I'm playing my Xbone on 3 LG Curved monitors-No one ever

Get 558 instead of 598, they are virtually identical

I can agree with the above post I have the 558 and have used the 598 and the only difference is the fact the 598 have a wider soundstage which can fixed by removing a bit of foam on the 558s

^exactly. Unless you really like the look of the 598s. And what country are you in? Makes price based recommendations easier.

Actually, model m keyboards are supposed to be much more white than they typically are. A good soak in high concentration hydrogen peroxide is the perfect thing to use to whiten that plastic back up.

Lol that's actually true, I had to soak all the keys of my ancient iMac keyboard.  It was an absolute nightmare.

Pretty sure owning an apple extended keyboard doesn't make you a sheep. As it's from 1980's.

Besides, Wozniak is cooler than jobs

As others have said go with the 558's. There really isn't anything in the quality open back design that gives them much competition at their price point now. You can pretty regularly get them for around $100. Keep in mind that they don't have super strong base if that's what you are looking for. The 558's have a relatively flat responsive curve. The bass isn't super loud, but it is extremely clear for this price range. I love my 558's, they've been my dailies for more than a year now.

You claim to own multiple cars including a Lotus Evora 400, 2015 Corvette Z06, and the Alfa Romeo 4C yet you ask for $200 headphones...

I call bullshit.

But this guy it a totally serious poster on a totally serious forum.
