Setup for 2200€

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

if i change the GPU to a MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card

will i have any problems with the other parts?

well, if you have the extra cash for it, might as well go for it.

theres plenty of PSU headroom for adding a second one in SLI as well.

I need:

- PC

- Monitor (2k or more; >=24"; if possible ultra wide)

- Keyboard (RGB; good for gaming; maybe some additional Keys)

- Mouse (RGB; good for gaming; senetivity settings on top; 2 or more additional buttons on the thumb)

What do I need it for:

- Gaming (CS:GO; Skyrim, Far Cry, ...)

- 3D Modeling

- Video/Picture edeting

- Music edeting and creation

For the PC:

- Color Sheme: Black/Orange or Red/Orange

- good if silent (or close to it)

- Window in the case

- room for updates (secound card)

- Wlan PCI

- >=250Gb SSD

- >=1TB HDD

- efficient PSU

Shipping and Pricing:

- to Germany

- in € EUR

- i have amazon Prime so i will have no shipping cost over that

Capital:       2000-2500€ (as low as possible but if it is 2500 its okay if performance is right)

Thanks in advance

Akadis

Edit: I don't plan on OCing any part

this does not have a windowed case, but apart from that...

For the SSD and HDD, just pick some Samsung or Intel SSD and WD HDD.

Oh yes, I'd probably keep the fan on the CPU and turn it down. I'm not sure if I'd trust that passively cooled thing with really long sessions, even with no OCing.

i'm gonna say something like this.

note: i decided to go black/red, because black/orange is REALLY hard to find parts for.

part explanation:

- i7 6700K, because you're not gonna OC now, but you might in the future. (and H chipset boards are notorious for not doing the sli/crossfire thing a whole lot...)

- fancy cooler, i'd suggest a bequiet dark rock, but they dont seem to be a thing anymore lately.

- asus sabertooth motherboard, probably a tad overkill, but it has all the toys.

- 2x8GB corsair vengeance LPX. ram speed doesnt matter, and LPX dimms fit under most coolers out there. (leaving 2 slots open -> possible to upgrade later without tossing away dimms)

- my usual pick of SSD & HDD

- for the gpu i went off my usual route, and recommended an AMD card. if you're modding skyrim, you're gonna like those 8GB vram.

- the case is my usual pick: fractal design define R5. i didnt list the windowed version because pcpp didnt seem to have pricing for it, but expect around €10 extra for the windowed version.

- corsair AX power supply, because corsair seems to be really common in europe, significantly more than EVGA. and you cant go wrong with a tier 1 PSU.

- tossed in a BD burner, ignore that if you are sure you dont need it.

- tossed in windows 10, replace with your OS of choice.

- tossed in a sound card in case you require extra sound I/O, ignore if you dont need it.

- picked a decent wifi card, trust me, you'll be happy you got a card with an antenna on a wire...

- the dell monitor is sorta a personal pick, 1440p 16:9 IPS, because eye candy. also vesa mountable.

- as for peripherals: go to a store, grope mice, fondle keyboards. grab the ones you like most. i cant recommend you peripherals, because everyone's taste is different.

if I leave away some parts can you recommend me a nvidea card because i am thinkin about getting into streaming and shield and even if the modding potential is great i won't do a lot of it

so here is the corrected parts list but as i said i am not so happy with the AMD GPU The rest looks great to me

Isn't the new chipset very expensive in comparison to the older one?

r9 390 VS GTX970 is very equal in terms of performance (if you dont eat ALL da VRAM) and they're very equal in price as well.

and the new chipset isnt much more expensive than the old one, certainly not when adding the difference in performance (you said there'll be much more done than gaming)

adding in that x99 seems to be mindlessly expensive in germany...

Ok thanks dude i appreciate youre help :)

Save a hundred bucks on in and get Windows 7 from softwarehexe. Bought Win 7 there and had no issues (apart from them sending a download link for German instead of English) for 25 bucks. It's an OEM (so if that's a huge issue to you) but seeing how you could literally buy five, then update everything and upgrade to Windows 10...
