Hi! I saw this at a local shop

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826977008

and I can't justify spending that much money for a mouse pad. It looks and feels great, sure. But I can spend that money elsewhere. My desktops needs more ram and HDD's and I have other hobbies too.

Do you guys have DIY solutions? I'd love to hear them! I want to make my own that exactly covers my keyboard (Corsair K65) and mouse

piece of cardboard works fine. If you are feeling adventurous, grab some cloth and use spray-adhesive to mount it to the cardboard.

I was thinking of that but cardboard is rough and gets damaged. Maybe I'll try the cloth thing. Microfiber is nice!

A stack of paper, tape it down to the desk and it works great.

It's my own solution for one of my cheaper systems where I can't be bothered to spend money on a real mousepad.

How about Formica board? Maybe I'll use a long sheet of black art paper (stiffer than usual)

Cut up an old T-shirt and wrap it around a piece of cardboard.

My problem with this technique is washing. I guess I can laminate the cardboard and then wrap cloth around it. So it's washable!

Sucks, haha. Last I checked, the only cheap mousepads here have ugly/funky designs. I just want a plain black one.

I got a 75cm one on ebay for $10. Non brand name.

That's exactly the length I need! Too bad I can't find any :( I just posted in our local Facebook group if they have any idea for generic ones

Use a fancy cloth place mat or a regular one depending on how you want your mouse to slide around.

You're right O_O Thanks for that tip :D !
