The interface doesn't really matter all that much. The new cards will pretty much always be PCIe though. Look at the 802.11 standard is supports (like wireless N, wireless AC and so on) before looking at the interface. You want at least wireless N and preferably with multiple antennas.

pcie so you can use it again if you upgrade your mobo.

 

As far as which one...I would match the chipset on the wifi card with the chipset on the router.  In theory it should give you the least amount of problems...that's my thinking anyways. And if your router supports 5ghz, make sure to get a 5ghz wifi card.
