Honestly I'd consider getting a chrome book / hp stream and spending the rest of your money getting a good desktop PC. You're not gonna get a outstanding gaming laptop for 1000-1500. You'll get something that'll last a few years maybe where as if you get a 200$ laptop and a 800-1300$ PC it'll last you a much longer period of time.

I depends on what your plans are with it. For on the go you almost have to have a SSD, I speak from experience. For gaming your bang for the buck tanks with it being pre-built and a laptop. My advise is get a cheap laptop and build a gaming tower. You could do both for 1500 and have better gaming and a lighter more durable laptop.

Jacktastic my brother! great minds think alike LOL

Unless you spend quite a lot of money on a gaming laptop, the experience wont be that great.

Take it from someone thats using their laptop as a daily in uni, just spend you money on a thin laptop, and use the money that's left over for a desktop.

something like a non overclockable i5, and a 970 wont cost too much, and it will be faster than most laptops, let alone something for 1500$

I spent 1500+$ to get my laptop 2nd hand, and the 870m is what I would consider barely enough to properly game on.

Died while in sleep mode in my back-pack. HDDs and on the go don't like each other.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I used to do 40 miles of bus rides every day and it killed the HDD in my laptop. I use a floppy disk as my coaster :P

I would get a desktop but i spend more time away from home and more time at school, i need a laptop to do both. Does that help for what i am trying to do?

Make sure to follow your topics, that way we know you get our responses.

Use a HDD for a laptop dragged around with you and you're going to have a bad time. So if you stick with a laptop make sure you prioritize the storage and upgrade to a SSD. Also make sure you have a recovery disk made, I have a HP and because of how the license for windows works with prebuilts I ether have to talk them into giving me a code or buy window with my replacement HDD. Anything that will offer any amount of gaming support will weigh a TON. If you're like me and have classes all over campus that gets really old, really quick. But it's your back and your money.

And I wouldn't let ibuypower build me a tuna sandwich. Just my opinion based on the copious amounts of testimonials about just how bad of a company they are. If you want a scary read look them up.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
