Using GPU Boost for my 980 Ti

My 980 Ti is an EVGA card that came at 1.1 stock and boosts to 1.9. I don't want to void my warranty so I just want to boost the card. What is the best way for me to test whether or not it's stable at max boost frequency?

Overclocking EVGA cards doesn't void the warranty. I put waterblocks on mine and they're still covered by the warranty. 

 

GPU Boost 2.0 essentially overclocks the card for you anyway, you don't really need to do anything

You must have something misunderstood.

NVidia's GPU boost applies automatically and cannot be unstable.

Also it cannot boost from 1.1 Ghz to 1.9 Ghz. That's not possible for GPU Boost 2.0.

I can put the slider to 2177 actually, so yes it is.

I can put the slider to 2177 actually, so yes it is. I think you're mistaking Ghz for MHz.

You don't even need an OC program, GPU Boost 2.0 (comes as standard) will adjust the clock speed based on the card's temps, load, power draw and other things. It can pretty much always be pushed a bit more by overclocking manually, but it does a good job of getting a lot out of your card without you having to do anything.

What you're doing is manually overclocking it. That has nothing to do with Nvidia's GPU Boost 2.0.

2177 = 2,177 Ghz

At that speed you would've broken world records and that was only possible with LN2 so far. So no, you're definitly not able to run at that speed.

When you slide the slider all the way to the right you have to hit "apply" afterwards, cause otherwise the overclock won't be applied.

Your card will most likely reach 1.4 - 1.6 Ghz. (1400 - 1600 Mhz) That is common for 980 Tis.

You cannot download it. It comes on your graphics card already installed.

If you moved the slider, thats not GPU boost 2.0 doing the work, but you overclocking......and YOUR overclock setting is pushing that.

Remove the OC (Default/0) and GPU boosts will default boost to where it should.

Alright lads, I've gotten EVGA Precision working on my computer as well so that I can monitor temps, voltage, clock, etc. in addition to GPU Boost that I apparently already have. Thanks for the help!
