I designed a green PC, because, i dunno, i was bored

now note that this isnt a NVidia or Razer build, so im not going with a case that has their logo (both exist)

I also know that not all the prices are there, but meh.

and I know that Caviar green drives are not as good as black, blue etc. i just used it because green.

why did you do a sli 970 setup

could've taken 390s and painted them green :^)

because these were already green, and paint is cheating

cable kits and LED kits are ok, paint is across the line

Linus can do whatever he wants, and my rule for this build was physical products that can be bought with money, rather than a service for a custom paint job

You should definitely just take 390s and paint them green, they'll be a good deal better than 970s

or better yet do a custom water loop on it instead

And you don't want 1.5TB green drives unless the sound of a clicking hard drive soothes you

And you could save a bunch of money on mushkin 480GB drives, also they're green

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/mushkin-internal-hard-drive-mknssdcr480gb7a

And I would advise against that headset

Also go for MX-4 thermal paste, it's non conductive and performs the same, bit safer overall.

and I don't think I'd trust that cooler for very long, seriously just spend the money on a custom loop instead

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

guys, i wanted to make a PC look green, and my personal rule was no paint and no custom cooling. i know that a 390x or a 980ti or 2 of them would be better, but they dont come in green

there is no budget here, and i will never buy this

and @Streetguru, i didnt know that they were actually green, ill take a look

That makes much more sense

But then, why not just get 2 like titan Xs in the build?

My suspicions are on him being an Nvidia fanboy :^)

for the record:

370 4GB > GTX 950/960

R9 380 4GB >GTX 960 4GB

R9 390x GB > GTX 970

R9 Fury > GTX 980

and its a bit of a tossup between the 980ti and fury x

i have a GTX 970 in my build because i got it before the 390x was a thing, also i personally like driver support over raw performance

r7 370 4gb is pretty gross and gets smoked by the 950 and 960
