Hey people

I need to build a pc for my grandmother. And it has to cost like 600 NZD or less if possible. I don't know much about this price range and this older tech so help is appreciated. I need to save like 150NZD right now. She will use it for video streaming, skype and email thats it. So ideas?

ps. do i need the video card or does the chip have integrated graphics i dont know ....

Drop the aftermarket CPU cooler, pick a case that has built-in PSU (only if budget is really tight). I think the integrated graphics on that will be fine. Also, add a webcam if she uses it for skype.

Use an aftermarket CPU if you don't add a GPU though.

haha okay

build above, should be good if you don't OC the chip (high frequency ram assists the iGPU, and I think 4GB should be enough)

G3258 can handle 1080p fine. What I was saying aftermarket is the cooler Master.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

The cheapest way would be buying used parts. You should check what you could locally get. Keep an eye also on used office pcs like Dell Optiplex. Those can get pretty cheap because of limited upgradability, but even a C2D could handle tasks needed.
