Can you plug the mic into the port in the front header? Is AGC or mic boost on? If yes then turn it off, it usually causes static through those options.

sounds fine.  That's not what mobo induced noise sounds like.  You have to try to lower the db boost or volume and amp it in software

yea

however..before you buy that

try different drivers

sometimes bad drivers causes weird problems like that

had it on a few clients

if newest drivers don't fix it

try older ones

okay.  A new sound card won't help that though.

Try plugging the headset in in the back of your pc instead of the front if you've been plugging it into the front.

I'd say don't bother wasting money on a new sound card, the integrated sound shit of your mobo should be fine, your settings are probs just screwed up.

Also, I got an AT2020USB a couple of weeks ago, it's absolutely fantastic, though be sure to get a boom arm and a shock mount for it at the least.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W
