I'm using my brothers laptop, turns out the CPU is worthless, it's an A6-4455M  APU AMD, and with an FP2 socket (827). I wondering if anyone knows any CPU's that I can replace the current one with that is cheap and works good, better than this one anyways.

Well, it's a pretty bad idea since its a laptop, but the A10 4655 is an OK option. I wouldn't do it if I were you, save up for a desktop.

As far as I can tell the chip isn't soldered to the board. Possible, but impractical.

If it is a socket and not soldered it can be done, the real question is whether it is worth it.

learn the difference between soldered and not.

Some CPU's can be replaced. Your jumping to assumptions

 You need to know the laptop first. then you know if it can be replaced or not.

Vast majority of the time if the chipset is compatible it should be just fine then you have things like TDP to also think about :)

Currently using A10-4600M on my HP laptop. And it sucks and heats too much. Just save your money. 2 years later you may buy a laptop including 6. Gen Intel processor.
