Title says it all. What are the differences with the exception of more performance and a new architecture?

Pretty much irrelevant tbh.

 

EVen a 2500K is questionably worth upgrading.

 

Still running a 2500k (@4.4Ghz) with a 980.

 

Running Witcher 3 and other demanding titles just fine.

Haswell's main draw was the better iGPU - namely - Iris Pro graphics on the i7 chips. It also produces more heat :D

Slightly more performance from better IPC due to a new architecture. That's it.
