Let it dry out and leave it until all of the water is gone before turning it back on. Completely unplug everything and remove what parts you can to give it a better chance to dry

I assume its a laptop, if so then unlpug the main battery(if possible) and let it dry out. Don't power it on, plug it in to charge it, etc.

If you put it in a bag of rice, the rice will draw out the moisture. It'll take a week or so but likely save it. Unless it was on or in standby mode while moisture made short circuits in unlucky places. After it dries, you should wash off any oxidation with isopropyl alcohol.

rice will cause corrosion.

:D Phone repair services that get paid extensively for water damage repair will definitely tell you that. They just want the unit in right after the accident, not a few weeks later. Makes sense, obviously. But there's nothing corrosive about rice. It's Ph is around 6 to 7 so it can be ever so slightly acidic. Wanna guess the Ph of clean rain water? It's normally a bit above 5, on a good day closer to 6.

Drying the unit with rice is just a slow method. While it's working the water does it's damage. Water, not rice. Also rice has to be in close contact with the water so it's not optimal. Something more professional would definitely have a better chance. But given that the OP is asking us instead of a qualified maintenance service of his laptop brand, I assumed, he's looking for a home remedy. I went even further in my assumptions and guessed that OP would be more likely to have a bunch of rice at the house than a dehumidifying chamber.

its just better to take apart the affected phone take all of the components, soak it in IPA, clean it then soak it then dry.
