R5E MOBO and Its PWM Fan Headers

Hi, I have a question about my new Rampage V Extreme MOBO and its PWM chassis fan headers.  There are six of them and they are 4-pin fan headers.  My be quiet! Silent Wings 2 SP fans and their splitter cables are also 4-pinned.  So if I connect these 4-pin fans with their 4-pin splitter cables to the 4-pin chassis fan headers, will I be able to control them through my MOBO?

yes, but the limit of how many fans can run from one header is also limited by

wattage limit and PWM strength. usually three fans per fan header is a good maximum.

Yaaayyy!!!  That is exactly what I am doing.  I will be running twelve 0.2A fans split into three fans per chassis header so they will definately be supported.

 

I am using the two CPU fan headers for my 2 pumps, and dedicating one of the two remaining fan headers (there are total 6 on the MOBO) to my 140mm PWM exhaust fan.
