The NZXT Noctis 450 is my go to personally. Underneath, it's an H440, but it has Phantom styling. It might not be the absolute best for silence though. The H440 is still a great case, as is the Define R5. I'd choose based upon what you think looks best.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 500GB Crucial P3 Plus, 4TB Silicon Power UD90 | GPU: AsRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! the best case is the one you like to look at that all your parts fit in.

you choose. cases are probably the most bias decision a person can make.

"there are only so many ways to make a box" -Fractal Josh

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

i personally love the looks of the NZXT S340 over the H440. but that's just my opinion! great case for how cheap it is too.

Got the S340 myself and I can't be happier with it, especially for the price. It's super clean looking (if that's your sort of thing), airflow is awesome and cable management was a breeze. There are a couple downsides to it, like a somewhat inferior HDD mount but otherwise I love it.

Cases are a very personal choice though, whenever I help someone make a build I tell them to pick the cases they like the look of best and then I'll help them decide which of those are best for airflow, noise, compatibility, etc.

i think i will be geting the h440 but not the razer editio, i will wait for the normal to get on sale :) and there might come a nice case in the mean time .

thanks

We have an H440 and it's real nice.  Quite good if you have several drives to connect.  If not, I'd recommend the S340.  We have one of those, too, and I agree with @adamjp.  It also has better airflow than the H440 because you can install two front intake fans that don't have drive trays in front of them.

Either way, you'll be happy.

Have you looked at the Silverstone Raven 5, or RV05?  It's currently $115 at Newegg and uses the 90 degree motherboard rotation where your video card is vertical, with two giant 180mm fans at the bottom blowing air up.  I have the Fortress 2 which is a much bigger version and metal instead of metal/plastic, but the same principle as far as cooling goes and it's outstanding.

how quite is the s 340? :) compered to your h440? :)

Still fairly quiet.  It's hard to compare, though, because of the different components that are in them.  They each have two additional SP120 case fans, but the CPU heatsink fans are different, and the H440 has HDDs in it. I'm planning on removing all of the HDDs except the one for the backup, though and getting a dock for when I need data on them.  The PowerColor R9 290 in the H440 also has three fans that I can hear when it's working a load. It's not annoying though. Not even close.

I'll see if I have time later this evening to move the S340 system into the same room where the other one is so I can get a better idea of the noise differences.

@madds1997

I played Far Cry 3 for a bit. The noise level seems a tiny bit louder in the 340. There's an unblocked exhaust fan at the top of the case. I'd say it's the most noticeable aside from the Zalman CPU cooler I have in it. But it's also louder than the CM 212+ cooler (in our 440) regardless of the case it's in. The varying speed of the Zalman fan is audible. So, again, tough comparison, but that's what I hear. I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker... to me at least. I guess it depends on how picky you want to be.

I took a few pictures showing the size difference, too. They're not all that dissimilar.
