Capture card alternatives

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows of any game capture cards other than the black magic that is all of the following:

1) must be USB 3.0
2) no built-in encoder/captures raw
3) 10-bit, not 8-bit


The elgato hd60 records 10bit but its 2.0 and has encoder, the avermedia live gamer extreme is 3.0 and no encoder but cant find out if its 10 or 8bit,

Is the black magic the only capture card that meets those three requirements ? thanks

If you have a spare PC you can use certain GPUs to capture an HDMI input and such then record with that PC.

 

You will need to find a GPU that supports HDMI input tho.

dont have a spare pc, hence the need for external usb 3.0

I want to live stream ps4 gameplay to twitch.

 

I know that you need a capture card to record footage but if im only interested in streaming using obs can I skip the capture card and just use hdmi to usb adapter/cable from ps4 to pc ? again sorry if that's a stupid question

PS4 has a built in app but it's poor quality and has restricted features so I would recommend getting a capture card

No you can't use OBS without a capture card
