SP120 or Vardars

So, on my case, there's a mesh front where the fans go inside. Ive Removed the fan filter because of the gigantic radiator i have in front. Im not able to see the fans so much in the front, so aesthetics isnt the banging thing right now.

The question is, when aesthetics is take away and only price to performance/silence is left. Which one is then the winner?

SP120 or Vardars?

Do you still not have fans? Jesus! Lol depends which SP fans the QE or HP fans? if QE go with them if the latter then fuck them off for the vardars

SP120s will be loud, so I'd recommend against them. Even one sounds like an insect buzzing in your ear, several sound like a swarm.

Lol mine don't when I turn them down with my fan controller, at full speed they do though so I agree with you there.

SP120 or Vardars?

Vardars are designed for radiators, have great SP and are quiet. Corsair basically made a fan, put 2 different generic blades on them and they call that a line up. NF-F12s, Gentle Typhoons or Venturis are more comparable to vardars, they are another level of quality. Corsair isn't even close. I like most corsair products but their fans suck ass.

I have LED SP140's, SP120's and an AF140 and they aren't bad, but most quality brands make better fans. Corsairs are usually best for their aesthetics.

Ive been searching fans for a couple of times and ended up only buying the rest of the case fans that i accually needed. now i need some rad fans. But i didnt understand which one you'd prefer?

I dont want noctua fans. but i want some efficient fans thats quiet (almost silent)

I put them as examples. For rads, vardars are as good as it gets. For directed airflow, AP123 by silverstone. For overall use in case, Venturis by fractal design are excellent. They are all very quiet premium fans.

Ok. well. i might go for the vardars, i like the black and grey colours. So my af120's are fine as normal airflow optimized fans? i bought all 3 of them for $15.

The SP120s are "meh" at best. They're not loud unless they're at 100%. 

 

I'd go with the Vardars. (I went Noctua Industrial as I hate the goofy beige/brown)

well the lowest RPMS you can get away with. probably the F1 or F2.

 

they are PWM, mind, so they can be controlled by CPU temp if the motherboard supports it.

I have stock EK fans, they came with my ek Coolstream XTX360 rad. They are not vardars thats for sure.

Depends on how much overhead you want. If you plenty of rad surface, chances are you will never need to go over 1450 (or even 1000) RPMs. If you got no interest in 2000 RPM fans, then 1450 is somewhat of a sweetspot for silence/performance

I have stock EK fans, they came with my ek Coolstream XTX360 rad. They are not vardars thats for sure.

I don't know if EK makes other fans asides from vardars, what do the stock ones look like?

Well, my rad is a 360mm radiator with a 40mm thickness, i dont know how you pronounce it but the finns on the radiator have alot of space between them

Then you can use low RPM fans with no problem
