Let's talk about the Metal Gear Solid 5 ending

Obviously, spoilers. Don't click on the spoiler tag unless you've beaten Metal Gear Solid 5. 

 

Kojima you masterful motherfucker. MGS5 was my first MGS game, and you did not disappoint. Mission 46. I was thinking "Why am I replaying the tutorial? Eh, whatever." Oh my goodness, at the end... Ishmael was the real Snake and your character was well, not, but all throughout the game you think he is! I just like how he did it. "Nah man, this is the real Snake. Here's a bike, your cigar, now go off and build your army that Solid Snake will fight in the first Metal Gear game." Now THAT'S awesome. Now I see why everybody rains praise after praise on Kojima, because he's freaking brilliant. 

 

There's one other thing that I was expecting. Eli being Liquid Snake. Like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. 

 

Aaaaaand on a different note... Mission 45... Quiet... Like, Quiet no, don't leave! You were so cool!

So, ya, if you've beaten MGS5, did you enjoy it as much as as I did? If you haven't played the game yet, PLAY IT. It's easily GOTY worthy.

Just saying I had never played MGS before but literally my first thought during the tutorial was 'hmm Ishmael... cool to see Snake so early on...' and then 'why the fuck am I not playing Snake right now?'

 

I guess I didn't have strong enough suspension of disbelief throughout that tutorial. Also it really sucked the fun out of the game in many ways.
