There is bug in chrome when you enter /%%300 in a adress it will freeze and crash. (In Opera too).

For example http://linustechtips/%%300.com/

 

 

EDIT: 

Friend discovered that if you post link with that on the FB then everyone who opens that page with Chrome will crash due to Chrome trying to preload it. Ha!

Copy the adress. For some reason when I click on it here the adress changes to something else. (http://linustechtips/%2500.com/)

Seems that the "16 characters" in this article should unescape to "/%%300", but that is also crashing the engine. It's reported to work on Opera as well.

This is already fixed in version 47.0.2508.0 dev-m (64-bit) AKA the Dev version

 

 

The beta version might already be fixed too but idk im running dev

I'm running 47.0.2514.0 and it just causes my browser to close, no messages or anything

Thats an older version, update to a newer one.

Yeah, updated to the latest version to double check the problem. On the old version (Forgot to note the version) It give a message, this version just crashes it without messages, as if you pressed the close button.

hmm doesn't happen on dev version on my desktop or dev version on chromebook.

So they must be aware and fix is coming soon.

Also crash Vivaldi. So this is a Chromium issue.

 

Doesn't affect Firefox at all though.
