Hello guys. This is not really an issue but I find it abnormal. When I start my PC , it turns on for like 1 second and then off and then on again. After that the LED on the motherboard shows some numbers (I think its checking for failures , i don't know) and then boots up normally. The whole process takes like 10 seconds and the PC is running fine. Is it the RAM that's causing this? The fact that its 2400mhz reminds me of people having issues and that they need to enable/disable something in the BIOS (XMP profile or something). Do I need to do that? Specs in signature.

EDIT: Updated BIOS. Everything's good now.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 12GB + Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero

Case: Asus ROG Strix Helios Gundam Edition Power Supply: Asus ROG Thor 850P

For how long has it been like this? Days? Weeks? Months? That's a little important.

Edit: I suppose that since you're on Skylake, it's at most a month and some change, but a bit more precision would be nice. Try enabling your XMP profile on your RAM, sure. The error number would be helpful, too.

Ever since I built the PC almost a month ago.

There's no error number or anything.

Edit: *sigh* Nevermind , I think it's normal. It does that whenever I unplug the cord from the back. If anybody thinks it's something else , then feel free to post it here.

Usually when the system does that, it is part of the POST process the motherboard goes through.

So is it normal or not?

It's normal. My ASUS board does the same and has been for the past 4 years. I think it's a check for overclocking stability or something like that (When I had the board on stock clock / stock settings, it did not do this).
