System reserved partition on wrong drive

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my PC, espacially the OS. I have 2 drives, SSD for OS and HDD Data. My HDD was my main drive not long ago before I installed my SSD. I did a fresh installed when I putted my SSD with both drive connected. My problem is when I unplugged my HDD or change Boot order for SSD, my windows won't boot. It seems that the system reserved partition is on the wrong drive(See picture below, yes it's in French, sorry). Any idea how to move it without an OS reinstall. Thx

your supposed to pull the drive with windows out when installing windows onto the new ssd.

Format both drives in the Windows Installer. Then install on the SSD.

It does not ave the System reserved on the wrong drive. Windows will always create a Reserved partition on the physical hard disk it is installed to.

In this case, you have had Windows installed on both, so both drives have the System Reserved partition - that is not a problem.

 

Your second disk though, has the recovery partition - you can repartition disk 0 and copy the Recovery partition if you need that.

 

As for why it wont boot, whats the error when you try to boot off the new drive?

You should be able to fix it by opening an elevated Command Prompt, and running:

bcdboot C:\windows /s C:

 

If you can boot up into recovery and open a command prompt then you can also do:

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot
